Vauxhall 2.0L XE TP270bhp Kit
This upgrade represents a progression to a more serious level of engine tune & specification, because of this more care and attention to detail is required when building such an engine. The kit comes complete with a MBE ECU already programmed & ready to use, however we would recommend a mapping session to fine-tune the engine. If you are upgrading from a lower specification kit, it is simple to reprogram your current MBE9A# ECU. This upgrade is most suitable for Gravel & Tarmac Rallying, Sports Cars, single Seaters, Slick shod Westfields and Caterham Type cars for Sprinting, Hill climbing and Circuit racing.
This kit incorporates cylinder head work, which has been CNC machined allowing a much higher level of accuracy with race valves of 34mm inlet & 30mm exhaust (+1mm oversize). It replaces the standard rods with steel ones & changes the pistons to slipper ones to allow the kit to produce its full potential safely. Higher bhp can be achieved with more aggressive cam profiles combined with higher compression, however due to the tighter tolerances required it is recommended that help from professional engine builder is obtained.
When building an engine of this level of tune we would recommend the use of a dry sump system for added protection, unless class rules prohibit their use.
The wiring harnesses have been specially designed to be as neat as possible and are available in front or rear wheel drive layouts to cover as many applications as possible, when ordering your kit you should specify whether your car is front, rear or mid engine layout.

All our kits have been developed using exhaust manifold designs that have been dyno tested and developed by ourselves. In order to achieve the optimum performance from your kit, you will need to have an exhaust manifold made to our design. When you purchase the kit, this information will be included.

When setting up the throttle body kit, it is recommended you use a syncrometer as shown in the instruction sheets, they are available from us, part number CRB-SYNCRO
in his Westfield, started with our Basic taper throttle kit, he then upgraded his engine over the years to produce approx 270 bhp last year. He has achieved many class wins over the last few years. He was 3rd in Class A2 of the DDMC Northern Saloon & Sportscar Championship 2004.
