Email received March 2013 from Karl in the USA, who has our high lift camshafts and MBE9A4 ECU on his 2.0L Duratec powered Caterham Superlight:
It started out as an R400, but I just couldn’t leave well enough.
The specs are as follows:

2. Cosworth 2.3L, 13:1 CR, Roller Barrel Intakes
3. MBE 9A4 ECU
4. Geartronics Paddle Shift Kit
5. Nitron 3-Way Shocks
6. BBS Wheels with Michelin Slicks
7. ATL Fuel Cell
8. Caged FIA roll cage, 4” extra tall and side intrusion bars
9. Tillett CF Seats
10. AIM Smartycam GP and Solo DL data logging

The Dyno sheet is from a Mainline Dyno (very understated normally, but calibrated to represent a DynoJet which is common here). In Dynojet numbers rear wheel HP came to 263. Assuming (as suggested by the tuner) a 15% drive train loss (SBD comment: Reasonable estimation), that puts me at 309 HP. In any event, the cams/ECU seemed to get about an extra 30 HP. Not sure if the math is accurate, but it sure feels faster to me.
I can’t wait to see it on the track!
Thanks again for all your help.
